Be the first to experience the edge-of-your-seat excitement in IMAX at a special midnight screening of Warner Bros. Pictures’ V For Vendetta at Navy Pier IMAX Theatre, 700 E. Grand Ave., on March 16. V for Vendetta: The IMAX Experience will debut concurrently with Warner Bros. Pictures’ 35mm release.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m., moviegoers are invited to arrive at Navy Pier IMAX Theatre and participate in various pre-film festivities. Inspired by Natalie Portman’s look in the film, volunteers willing to have their heads shaved (courtesy of Charles Ifergan Salon) will vie for a $150 prize, VIP access to the theatre, and other V For Vendetta film garb. Theatre seating begins at 11:00 p.m., where each audience member will receive a V For Vendetta mask, inspired by the actual mask worn by the film’s hero, compliments of Warner Brothers.

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a young working class woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as “V.” Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he urges his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V’s mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself – and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plan to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.
