“I wanted to capture the scene of Tris and Four jumping off a moving train as it not only represents the courage required to become a Dauntless, it also symbolized the leap from their old faction and life, a decision they cannot go back on.” - Victo Ngai
Victo Ngai as a child. She still possesses a child-like spirit which bodes well to the boundless creativity displayed in her artwork.
Victo may be new to the IMAX FANFIX™ roster, but she is no stranger to the spotlight. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Village Voice, WIRED, and many more. She was also recently named to the 2014 Forbes 30 Under 30: Art & Style.
We were able to spend a little time with Victo to learn more about her and how she was inspired to create the IMAX FANFIX for Divergent.
Keep reading to learn more about how to get the latest IMAX FANFIX and for participating theatres.

The 86th Academy Awards® ceremony is upon us and we are thrilled to celebrate with some of the top filmmakers, actors/actresses, special effects, sound teams and the list goes on! We appreciate the tireless hours that go into making some of the movies that we have the opportunity to experience each year.
There’s a category that holds a special place in our hearts – Best Visual Effects. This year all five nominees were enhanced through the IMAX® DMR process and later presented in IMAX® theatres. Our DMR team took a moment to discuss their favorite visual effects scenes. Take a look below:

Lemurs are already leaping into the hearts and minds of Stonybrook University students, alumni and friends after viewing the upcoming Madagascar: Island of Lemurs IMAX® documentary at Loews AMC Lincoln Square IMAX theatre in New York.
Bigger surprises awaited excited guests who had the opportunity to take photos with a life-size lemur and speak to lemur-expert Dr. Patricia Wright, who inspired producer Drew Fellman (Born to Be Wild) to create the film. Dr. Wright, Drew Fellman and IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond participated in a brief Q&A after presenting the film where audiences raved with excitement after learning more about the cute, furry lemurs.
