IMAX® Transformed Hong Kong Culture Center for Transformers: Age of Extinction World Premiere

By IMAX on June 19, 2014

The Transformers: Age of Extinction world premiere at the Hong Kong Culture Center, received a makeover of IMAX proportions exclusively for this event – complete with a 60-by-34-foot IMAX screen and IMAX’s proprietary projection and sound technology.

Guests (like Imagine Dragons) received an up close and personal look at the new IMAX® 3D Digital Camera which was used by Michael Bay to capture select scenes of Transformers: Age of Extinction. Tranformers: AOE is the first feature film to use IMAX’s state-of-the-art 3D camera.

The movie’s director Michael Bay and several cast members graced the red carpet at the world premiere in Hong Kong including Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Li Bingbing, T. J. Miller, Han Geng and the band IMAGINE DRAGONS, who wrote the original song “Battle Cry” for the film and performed live on the rooftop of Harbour City following the film’s screening. It. Was. Amazing! Check out some pics from the premiere below:
