If you have ever seen a movie in IMAX in the past, whether it was in 3-D or not, you know that IMAX is one of the most immersive experiences that a moviegoer can have.

The picture quality, and the sheer size of the screen, is truly something to behold. Couple this with the incredible surround sound experience that IMAX brings, and you almost feel as if you are a part of the movie.

According to a press release issued today, Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming thriller The Equalizer will be receiving an IMAX release.

In the press release Greg Foster, who is the Senior Executive Vice President of IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment, praised both Fuqua and the film’s leading actor Denzel Washington as well as expressed his excitement to be partnering on the project.
