The director's Star Trek Into Darkness sequel releases early on Wednesday night with special IMAX screenings all over the country, and Abrams filmed 30 minutes of footage in it utilizing the high-resolution cameras to enhance the scope and immerse the audience in some of the movie's most action-packed scenes.

Star Trek Into Darkness is set to open on 3D IMAX screen two days before it goes on general release, it has been confirmed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has closed a deal with the oversize screen company to start showing the eagerly awaited sci-fi sequel from 15 May.

TORONTO – Marvel Entertainment’s Iron Man 3 is to be super-sized for release on Imax screens internationally, from April 25.
The latest installment of the Tony Stark/Iron Man Marvel franchise will also hit domestic theaters on May 3, simultaneous with the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures roll-out.
