Francis Lawrence Plans Some IMAX for "Hunger Games: Catching Fire"

Following in the footsteps of Christopher Nolan and Brad Bird, director Francis Lawrence is planning to utilize the big big screen for the anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. THR reports Lawrence will use IMAX cameras to shoot some scenes in the second installment of the film franchise based on the bestselling young adult novels by Suzanne Collins. After the film made an impressive but limited IMAX run in March, and a return in April, it's no surprise Lionsgate wants to take full advantage this time, and shooting in the large format is a way to guarantee people see it in IMAX and get their money's worth.
