Eye is the only UK company represented in the film.About the Company:Ian Bird is the founder and visionary force behind Eye-Animation Studios which he created in 1996. The Studios produce film quality 2D character animation, 3D computer animation and SFX for cinema, TV, music promos and feature films throughout the world.Technology Notes:Liberation was created using Wavefront Explore. Particle systems were used to fill every scene with particles and flying objects. A human head model was reshaped to resemble lead singer Neil Tennant, and Metaball's software was used to make the objects run into one another and move like liquid. Eye-Animation has an integrated 3D and compositing system for cyberworld, so live-action and special effects are married in-house, often alleviating the need to spend hours in post-production Flame or Henry suites.Silicon Graphics workstations allow a fast turnaround of work and rendering at any resolution from TV to large-format. These powerful machines run Eye "in-house" custom software; Alias Wavefront, Maya 2.5, Maya Live, Explore Chalice and "Ultimate" the best blue screen technology available which works perfectly for cyberworld 3D.About the principals at Eye-Animation Studios:Ian Bird is Creative Director at Eye-Animation Studios. He has previously co-founded and was creative director of Electric Image, and founder and co-director of the internationally acclaimed company, 601fx.
