IMAX Congratulates Visual Effects Oscar Noms

Visual effects were prevalent in many of the top films featured in IMAX this year. Each year the Academy chooses the best of the best to receive an Oscar® for Best Visual Effects. We are excited to announce that four of the five nominees have been featured in IMAX® theatres. The final list of nominees includes Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Marvel’s The Avengers from Joss Whedon, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, Ang Lee’s Life of Pi and Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman, which is the only title not shown in IMAX theatres.
