IMAX Corporation Reports First Quarter 2012 Financial Results

IMAX Corporation today reported first quarter 2012 revenues of $55.6 million, adjusted EBITDA as calculated in accordance with the Company's Credit Facility of $16.4 million, adjusted net income of $4.0 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, and reported net income of $2.6 million, or $0.04 per diluted share.  In the first quarter of 2012, the Company incurred a charge of $0.7 million to enable certain theatres to play movies, such as The Dark Knight Rises, in either digital or analog format.  For reconciliations of adjusted net income to reported net income and for the definition of adjusted... MAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX; TSX: IMX) and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) today announced that the limited release of The Hunger Games: The IMAX Experience grossed $10.6 million in IMAX® theatres worldwide during its three-day opening weekend beginning March 23.
