IMAX Corporation, Paramount Pictures, Shangri-La Entertainment and Concert Productions International announced that the highly anticipated Rolling Stones concert film Shine A Light, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese, will be released to IMAX theatres simultaneously with the film’s wide release on April 4th, 2008. Shine A Light is digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with IMAX DMR (Digital Re-Mastering) technology.

Set against the immense backdrop of the majestic Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon Adventure will take IMAX Theatre audiences on an exhilarating river-rafting adventure down the Colorado River in the company of a team of explorers who are committed to bringing awareness to global water issues. One of the world’s mightiest rivers, the Colorado no longer reaches the sea. Every drop of river water is allocated to agriculture and populations along the way, many of whom don’t even realize their connection to the river.

The first ever live-action 3D concert film, it immerses the audience in an all-enveloping and thrilling cinematic experience.
