From May 6th until September 2009 the ground level access to the IMAX Theatre at Canada Place will be closed due to upgrading/construction at Canada Place.

To reach the Theatre, please use the EAST or WEST staircases at the front of Canada Place and proceed along the upper promenade to the Theatre entrance. If you are unable to use the stairs, please take the second bank of elevators, located through the Pan Pacific Hotel entrance, down to P2 and then walk through the parkade to the north end. Take the glass elevators up to Level M.

1. From the Vancouver International Airport:

Start going toward the Airport Exit on Grant McConachie Way.
Grant McConachie Way becomes the Arthur Laing Bridge.
Take the ramp onto SW Marine Drive.
Continue on Granville Street.
Bear right on Seymour Street (BC 99).
Turn left on W Hastings Street (BC 7A).
Turn right on Howe Street.
Howe Street becomes Canada Place.
Park at Canada Place, pay parking, or find metered street parking if available.

2. From the Fraser Valley:

Take the Freeway (BC 1A) heading West into Vancouver.
Take Exit 26, Hastings Street.
Turn left onto E Hastings Street (HWY 7A).
Keep driving. Turns into W Hastings Street.
Turn Right onto Burrard Street.
Road turns right into Canada Place.
Park at Canada Place, pay parking, or find metered street parking if available.

3. From the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal:

Start at Keith Road, West Vancouver on Bay Street.
Take Exit 13, HWY 99 South/HWY 1A East toward Vancouver.
Turn Right on Taylor Way.
Turn Left on Marine Drive (HWY 1A).
Bear Right onto Lions Gate Bridge toward Bridge/Vancouver.
Continue to follow HWY 1A.
Turns into W Pender Street. Continue on W Pender Street.
Turn Left on Burrard Street.
Road turns right into Canada Place.
Park at Canada Place, pay parking, or find metered street parking if available.

4. From the Peace Arch Border Crossing with the USA:

I5 becomes BC 99.
Continue along BC 99.
Take ramp onto SW Marine Drive.
Continue on Granville Street.
Bear Right on Seymour Street.
Turn Left on W Hastings Street.
Turn Right on Howe Street.
Howe Street becomes Canada Place.
Park at Canada Place, pay parking, or find metered street parking if available.
