Toronto, ON – January 28, 2010 – IMAX Corporation today announced that, together with AMC Theatres®, it is working with Facebook Canada to launch Facebook Deals. For a limited time, Facebook users who check in to Facebook Places at participating AMC Theatres will receive a free small popcorn and small soft drink with the purchase of an IMAX ticket.
Facebook Deals, an innovative marketing program which uses online word-of-mouth to drive bricks-and-mortar traffic, has been popular in the United States and is expected to enjoy similar success among the 15 million Canadians on Facebook.
The promotion is available from Jan. 31, 2011, at 6 AM EST to Feb. 6, 2011, at 11:30 PM EST at the following AMC Theatres:
