Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex And IMAX Collaborate For New Screening Series

Los Angeles, CA – April 29, 2011 – IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) announced today the launch of a new screening series in conjunction with the Los Angeles Times’ successful Hero Complex. IMAX will serve as the presenting sponsor of the series and, along with collaboration from various studio partners, anticipates multiple screenings throughout 2011. Exclusive to IMAX® theatres, the ongoing series will focus on upcoming tent-pole titles and will launch with an advance screening of Paramount Pictures’ and Marvel Entertainment’s Thor on May 4. The screenings are targeted at Hero Complex’s extensive audience of fanboys and entertainment aficionados.
