Working to deepen our direct relationship with our audience, IMAX’s fan facing newsletters deliver compelling content across the following three categories:

  1. “In Frame” – focused on going deeper behind the scenes of a particular title or brand initiative. The goal is more robust engagement across our most passionate fans. 

  2. “Focus Pull” – a monthly digest highlighting all titles playing that month. This is designed to be an information hub useful to even the most casual of movie fans. 

  3. “Ad Hoc” – custom content targeted to particular initiatives or special offerings. These emails serve to highlight special events, merch drops, and other “occasion” messaging.

IN FRAME

Sent on the third Thursday of every month, IN FRAME spotlights exclusive long-form interviews and articles about IMAX and its magic makers. Past interview subjects have included cinematographers, special effects masters, costumers, actors, and more. Not only focusing on interviews, some editions of In Frame take us behind-the-scenes at IMAX itself. 

FOCUS PULL

Sent on the first of every month, FOCUS PULL is a digest highlighting the story of our major releases, special event screenings, what’s playing in IMAX theatres, and unique branded merchandise promotions. Basically, a fan’s one stop shop for everything IMAX that month. The goal is something that is at once easy to scan but also informative.

AD HOC

AD HOCS are special one-off emails outside of our regular cadence. Content includes bonus interviews, special events, ticket drops, merch promos, giveaways and unique fan engagement touchpoints.
