A lonely Frankenstein (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance! _The Bride! is part of the_ [_Filmed For IMAX®_](/filmed-for-imax) _program._ Director: Maggie Gyllenhaal Studio: Warner Bros. IMAX worked closely with director Maggie Gyllenhaal to deliver a cinematic experience where IMAX enhances not just the visual scope of the movie, but also elevates the auteur-driven storytelling. Featuring 72 minutes of our expanded aspect ratio (over half the film), this film was shot with IMAX-certified digital cameras and enhanced frame-by-frame with IMAX’s proprietary Digital Media Remastering technology. The electric industrial rock score is further amplified with a dedicated sound mix optimized for IMAX theatres. All of these elements combined bring audiences a frightfully perfect movie-going experience.
