Told through the remarkable music of The Who, this is the story of Tommy, who, when just a boy of six, witnessed the murder of his father by his mother (Ann-Margret) and her lover (Oliver Reed). They command him, “You didn’t hear it, you didn’t see it, and you won’t say anything to anyone…” As a result, the traumatized boy retreats into the shadows of his mind and becomes deaf, dumb and blind. Growing into manhood, Tommy (Roger Daltrey) is subjected to several bizarre cure attempts by The Acid Queen (Tina Turner), the Preacher (Eric Clapton), and the Specialist (Jack Nicholson). In spite of his handicap, Tommy defeats the Pinball Wizard (Elton John) and becomes the champ, attaining a devoted following. When he is finally cured, he is hailed by his fans as a “Messiah.” Director: Ken Russell Studio: SONY Pictures, Runtime: 112 minutes * * * Subscribe --------- Get updates from the world’s most **immersive theatre experience** tailored to fans like you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More In IMAX ------------ ### Dune: Part Three FILMED FOR IMAX Coming Soon [![Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) interrogates Hayt (Jason Momoa) in 'Dune: Part Three' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F3Ha7CgJrQhQFzwPLdahQHc%2Fd5dfa3d7a940d00b842f2b2b857cd194%2Frev-1-DUN3-T2-0017_High_Res_JPEG.jpeg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/dune-part-three#showtimes) ### Street Fighter FILMED FOR IMAX Coming Soon [![Street Fighter - Filmed For IMAX - Experience It In IMAX](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F5EDevpeo8tRLTp2GBzgh8h%2Ff7cb1cee7bded4ec4fefb1a13c43237b%2FSF_FP_103R.jpg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/street-fighter#showtimes) ### Digger Now Playing [![Digger Rockwell (Tom Cruise) in 'Digger' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2FPfCrxfIW61l8xsQ7Nzspp%2Fe68b1fa32e5b9699b72d6cc1c336019d%2Frev-1-judy_r4_v6.0f_260708_g963_stills_july9_rec709_gamma_2-4.0357259_High_Res_JPEG.jpeg&w=512&q=75)Get IMAX Tickets](/movie/digger#showtimes) ### Queen Budapest Two Days Only Coming Soon [![Freddie Mercury strikes a pose onstage clad in an elaborate costume.](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F3BQZmzK8FjQlhpNFmLLDCn%2F1e65b8e0c55c67ee431e69f15b65b23a%2FQueen_Forever_48_Surface_Blur_QUAD_18_june_278pct_Large.jpeg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/queen-budapest#showtimes) ### Always LaLisa Two Nights Only Coming Soon [![Always LaLisa](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F7EhlnndHFLOiGWzt9jnjHJ%2Fdb6a55789eb08c51de5a14936c5acefe%2FAlwaysLalisa_047_02300100_crop.jpg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/always-lalisa#showtimes) ### Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry Coming Soon [![A contemplative Stephen Curry sits on a basketball on an empty court in 'Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F2robl7LAhS3wzYd9dG7dNn%2F582f23bf156b7474dacccc5af120d7a8%2FPOA_006.jpeg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/portrait-of-an-artist-stephen-curry#showtimes) ### The Odyssey FILMED FOR IMAX Now Playing [![Odysseus (Matt Damon) leads his men ashore to explore a mysterious island in 'The Odyssey' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F2nuowiAiklZv2HKaL09wPt%2F1c515ee529a111c431a7d37e5e132ce5%2Fchristopher-nolan-odyssey-06.jpeg&w=512&q=75)Get IMAX Tickets](/movie/the-odyssey#showtimes) ### Resident Evil FILMED FOR IMAX Now Playing [![A courier (Austin Abrams) sits in shock on the floor, a smoking shotgun clutched in his hands in 'Resident Evil' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F6vuVKSDBgVqlPDRfpECdvU%2Fde32321e7e09fab52044abdda3aa60fa%2FFRM_4510_f0961_sRGB.jpg&w=512&q=75)Get IMAX Tickets](/movie/resident-evil#showtimes) ### Avengers: Endgame Encore Back In IMAX Now Playing [![Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) records a final message using his broken helmet in a spaceship in 'Avengers: Endgame' (2019).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2Fldassset-fid-14965%2F271a3be5aea40a9759b83abec184b26c%2FAvengers_Endgame_003.jpg&w=512&q=75)Get IMAX Tickets](/movie/avengers-endgame#showtimes) ### Disclosure Day Now Playing [![Emily Blunt in 'Disclosure Day' (2026).](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F7iBVSH3JUXKYC3Yfnn87RC%2Fe8b07cbf0b6f7fb357d97833711b1366%2F86487_049_NV_R6V33P2_X02_260311_DCP_REVIEW.0000087.jpg&w=512&q=75)Get IMAX Tickets](/movie/disclosure-day#showtimes) ### F1® on Apple TV Live in IMAX: US Race Live Event Coming Soon [![F1® on Apple TV Live in IMAX: US Race](/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.ctfassets.net%2Fc4ucztjx9pmu%2F6dLHtn8CYr6OdHn4G33Qgd%2Fded48de2822e9cfd6641d6eadaab752b%2FPM1375_SERIES_EA_2800x1197_ENG_D_UR_V01.jpg&w=512&q=75)Advance IMAX Tickets](/movie/f1-on-apple-tv-live-in-imax-us-race#showtimes)
