Here’s everything you need to know:

Filmmaker, Christopher Nolan has captured the majority of _Dunkirk_ with IMAX’s extremely high-resolution 2D film cameras to deliver IMAX audiences greater scope and breathtaking image quality. When you experience _Dunkirk_ in an IMAX theatre, these sequences will expand vertically to fill the entire IMAX screen and show audiences up to 40% more of the image with unprecedented crispness, clarity and color for a truly immersive experience.

IMAX is presenting special engagements of _Dunkirk_ in select theatres on [**IMAX 70MM film**](#tag70mmtag) – a riveting and unique way to see this film. Fans who attend the first showing of _Dunkirk_ in IMAX 70MM on July 20th will receive an exclusive shirt, while supplies last.

Additionally, select theatres will be presenting _Dunkirk_ in [**IMAX with laser**](#taglasertag) a re-imagination of the movie theatre experience capable of projecting an image with up to a 1.43:1 aspect ratio.

Advance tickets for IMAX 70MM special engagements will be available for purchase on **Wednesday, July 5th**. Advance tickets for all other IMAX presentations of _Dunkirk_ go on sale **Friday, July 7th**.

[_Dunkirk_](/movies/dunkirk) hits IMAX theatres on July 21st.

See below for a full list of IMAX theatres that are participating in special engagements of _Dunkirk_. _**This theatre list is subject to change. Check back for updates, and be sure to confirm format details with your local theatre.**_
