Happy summer (officially), IMAX fans! Things are really heating up!

Just yesterday, [IMAX announced](/content/imax-and-paramount-pictures-extend-long-standing-partnership-five-picture-agreement) it has extended its long-standing partnership with Paramount Pictures by signing a five-picture agreement with studio; the films listed in the pact include none other than Michael Bay’s fifth installment in the global blockbuster franchise—_Transformers: The Last Knight_—set for release during summer 2017.

_Transformers: The Last Knight_ joins an incredible legacy of _Transformers_ films in IMAX, including the last installment, _Transformers: Age of Extinction_, which featured select footage filmed with IMAX cameras.

In addition to _The Last Knight_, the new pact includes fellow 2017 titles, _Ghost in the Shell_ and _God Particle_, along with _Ben-Hur_ and _Jack Reacher: Never Go Back_, both of which are slated for release this year.

Paramount just released a bad-ass new trailer for _Jack Reacher: Never Go Back_. Check it out!

In the announcement, Greg Foster, IMAX Senior Exec VP, IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment, praised IMAX’s close industry relationships saying, “IMAX and Paramount Pictures, along with such esteemed filmmakers as Michael Bay, Tom Cruise and the Bad Robot team, together have achieved incredible global box office success over the years.”

Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore echoed those sentiments: “Paramount is pleased to partner with its friends at IMAX to present an exciting and diverse lineup of films.”

In addition to these five films, IMAX will release Paramount, Skydance and Bad Robot’s upcoming third film in the blockbuster franchise—_Star Trek Beyond_—slated for release in IMAX theatres worldwide on July 22.
