IMAX Corp. Mid-Quarter Box Office Update

IMAX today commented that first quarter 2012 box office through February 12, 2012, was approximately $55 million, compared to approximately $38 million in the prior year period.  First quarter box office to date was primarily driven by _Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol_, which has grossed $27.5 million in the first quarter (and nearly $70 million worldwide to date), $11.5 million from _Underworld: Awakening_, $8.7 million from _Journey 2: The Mysterious Island_, and $3.7 million for the Chinese film _Flying Swords of Dragon Gate_ ($10 million cumulative box office to date).
