January 8, 2001 (Los Angeles) - Nine out of the 15 artists from the upcoming IMAX® film, ALL ACCESS: Front Row. Backstage. LIVE! presented by CERTS®, were nominated for Grammy® Awards on January 4, 2001 by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. The giant screen film is a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of a mega-concert and includes candid moments backstage with legendary artists Carlos Santana, Sting, Al Green, George Clinton and B.B. King as well as contemporary artists Dave Matthews Band, Moby, Sheryl Crow, Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty), Mary J. Blige, Kid Rock, Macy Gray, The Roots, Trey Anastasio (Phish) and Cheb Mami.

ALL ACCESS: Front Row. Backstage. LIVE! is presented by CERTS® in North America, directed by Martyn Atkins and produced by Jon and Peter Shapiro for Ideal Entertainment, and will be released nationally on April 6, 2001 exclusively on IMAX screens.

The Grammy Awards will be presented on February 21, 2001.

The acts featured in ALL ACCESS won a combined total of 13 Grammy Awards in 2000, with Carlos Santana earning a record-tying eight Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rock Album. Additional Grammy Awards went to Sting for Best Pop Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Sheryl Crow for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, B.B. King for Best Traditional Blues Album and The Roots for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. Filming was completed at locations in Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York and Chicago.

"It's exciting that so many of the stars in ALL ACCESS have been nominated and will be at the Grammys this February," said co-Producer Jon Shapiro "and that the film displays a cross section of genres and performers that are among the best in music this year."

Presented by CERTS® in North America, directed by Martyn Atkins and produced by Jon and Peter Shapiro for Ideal Entertainment, ALL ACCESS is an IMAX Presentation in association with Newmarket of an Ideal Entertainment Production and will open throughout North America on April 6, 2001. An international release will follow a couple of months after.
