Celebrate Detroit!

Celebrate Detroit! features over 120 photographic subjects and tells the story of Metropolitan Detroit -- our rich culture, ethnic diversity and lasting traditions -- using the "magic" of IMAX technology. The film serves as an introduction to feature-length films at the museum's IMAX Theatre for the next seven to ten years. Produced by filmmakers Aimee Larrabee and John Altman, Celebrate Detroit! was filmed at various locations throughout the Metropolitan area and utilized local crews experienced in IMAX film. The film highlights some of the area's most well-known venues and landmarks such as Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Zoological Society, Eastern Market, Joe Louis Arena, Freedom Festival Fireworks, Thunderfest and the Woodward Dream Cruise. Some famous Detroit personalities are also featured in the film.
