The film, which received a special limited engagement in IMAX
theatres this month, tied previous record-nomination holders,
Titanicand
All About Eve.
La La Landscored additional nods for cinematography, film
editing, production design, costume design, score and two separate
bids for original song for “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” and
“City of Stars” — the latter of which was featured on the back-side
of an exclusive IMAX poster given away at opening weekend
screenings of
La La Landin IMAX.
In addition to
La La Land, several other films which received IMAX runs
managed to make the Oscar shortlist:

Deepwater Horizon(Sound Editing, Visual Effects).
There is a total of 26 nominations for films with IMAX releases
(spread across 10 films total).
