Viva La Blanca Paloma brings audiences to a small village called El Rocio in the Huelva district of Spain where, on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Pentecost every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims gather from across Spain. They join together to meet the beautiful Virgin they call the Blanca Paloma, or White Dove, of El Rocio. The pilgrimage is also a holiday and a celebration. The traditional costumes, the music, the dancing and the feasting all combine in a brilliant display of Spanish culture.
