Limited IMAX Release of Highly Anticipated Sequel Opens This Weekend Internationally; May 7th Domestically

LOS ANGELES, Apr 30, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) --IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq:IMAX) (TSX:IMX), Marvel Entertainment and Paramount Pictures today announced that the highly-anticipated action-adventure Iron Man 2, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey, Jr., will open for a special limited two-week engagement in 182 IMAX(R) theatres domestically on May 7, 2010, and in 68 IMAX theatres internationally, with 51 of those runs opening this weekend. The IMAX release has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) with IMAX DMR(R) technology.
