Synopsis

Christopher Nolan has captured the majority of Dunkirk with IMAX’s extremely high-resolution 2D film cameras to deliver IMAX audiences greater scope and breathtaking image quality. Exclusively in IMAX® theatres, these sequences will expand vertically to fill the entire IMAX screen and show audiences up to 40% more of the image. Special engagements of Dunkirk will be shown in IMAX 70mm film.

From filmmaker Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy) comes the epic action thriller Dunkirk, directed from his own original screenplay. Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
